A two-time Big 12 Rookie of the Week and one-time Player of the Week honoree, McLemore leads the Big 12 in free throw percentage at 88.0 and also ranks among the league leaders in field goal percentage (eighth, 49.3), rebounding (tied for 20th, 5.4), three-point field goal percentage (third, 42.3), three-pointers made (eighth, 1.9) and blocked shots (14th, 0.8). KU's leading scorer, McLemore has seven games with 20 points or more this season, including a 30-point effort against Kansas State (2/11) and 33-point performance against Iowa State (1/9) in the Big 12 opener. Prep Career in Brief: A five-star recruit who was ranked No. 17 nationally by Rivals.com and the No. 4 shooting guard... Described as an elite shooting guard, McLemore played for Wellston High School in St. Louis in 2009-10... When the school closed following the 2009-10 academic year, he then went to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., and later transferred to Christian Life Center in Humble, Texas. Following the 2009-10 season at Wellston, McLemore was named an all-metro selection by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as a junior, averaging 28.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.3 blocked shots on the season... He would go on to lead the Trojans to a third-place finish in the 2010 Class 2 State Tournament... Transferred to Christian Life Center in Texas and in six games he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds for the Jackrabbits.

Selected by the Wooden Award National Advisory Board, the list is made up of 25 student-athletes who, based on their performances in November, December, and the beginning of January, are the frontrunners for college basketball's Wooden Award.
Kansas senior Jeff Withey and redshirt freshman Ben McLemore have been named to the 12-person Oscar Robertson Trophy National Player of the Year Midseason Watch List by the United States Basketball Writers Association of America (USBWA).
The USBWA also released its Wayman Tisdale Award National Freshman of the Year Watch List and McLemore was among the 12 players named. The St. Louis, Mo., guard is the only player named to both watch lists.

McLemore averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Jayhawks defeated Richmond and won at No. 7 Ohio State. He started with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting versus the Spiders and answered that with a team-high 22 points and six rebounds at OSU. (12/24)
