ING Honors University of Kansas Professor for Excellence in Teaching

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Financial services leader ING has honored University of Kansas Professor Greg Rudnick with the ING Professor of Excellence Award for his outstanding performance in the classroom and commitment to the profession. The award was presented last Wednesday at Allen Fieldhouse during the Kansas vs. Oklahoma men's basketball game. The ING Professor of Excellence Award is presented to a member of the university faculty for his or her achievements and dedication to excellence in teaching at the university. The recognition includes a $1,000 grant. Rudnick joined the faculty of the Department of Physics and Astronomy as an assistant professor in 2008. His research studies the formation and evolution of galaxies. "Professors are a key component to creating interesting, dynamic and nurturing educational experiences for college students," said ING Vice-President Bernard Heffernon. "ING is committed to education and honoring educators like Professor Rudnick who are dedicated to their profession and preparing students to compete in the global society." |
