KU Student-Athletes Take Part in Orange and Maroon Effect Day Friday

LAWRENCE, Kan. - In an effort to support Hokie Hope, Kansas Athletics distributed 500 orange and maroon t-shirts, Virginia Tech's school colors, to student-athletes to wear on campus Friday in honor of those killed in the tragic events that took place Monday in Blacksburg, Va., and to show support for VT students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni and friends.

"Orange and Maroon Effect" was born several years ago as an invitation to Tech fans to wear its school colors at athletic events.
