Space Still Available for Friday's Kansas Golf Classic Supporting Douglas County Special Olympics

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Space is still available for the Kansas Athletics Golf Classic supporting Douglas County Special Olympics this Friday, June 22, at Alvamar Golf Club.
The four-person scramble begins with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Alvamar (1800 Crossgate Drive, Lawrence). The shotgun start is at 1 p.m. with dinner and an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. Cost is $150 per person ($600 per team) and the entry fee includes green and cart fees, range balls, lunch, dinner, goodie bags with hole prizes and an Alvamar buy one, get one free green free coupon.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Douglas County Special Olympics which is a volunteer-run organization that provides year-round training to individuals with special needs in the Douglas County area. Proceeds from the tournament will assist in purchasing sports equipment, uniforms and defraying the cost of tournaments and travel.
