Kansas Athletics Hosts Annual Ghouls and Goblins
Oct. 31, 2011
LAWRENCE, Kan. - Little ghouls and goblins marched into Anderson Strength and Conditioning Center on Monday morning as student-athletes, coaches and administrators from the University of Kansas athletic department dished out Halloween candy. Over 100 children, ranging from infant to six, came from the Hilltop Child Development Center filled up their candy bags and buckets as they got to enjoy an early session of trick-or-treating to celebrate Halloween. Members from each sport in the athletic department, including the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and administrators, were on hand to see Buzz Lightyear, Superman, Tigger and Princesses along with a host of others to come by. Each department had a table the little trick-or-treaters could stop at to get treats. Hilltop Child Development Center has provided child care and education for the KU campus since 1972. |
