Kansas Athletics to Host Midwest Sports Performance Conference May 10-11, 2013
Dec. 20, 2012 Midwest Sports Performance Conference Information LAWRENCE, Kan. - More than 400 years of training, knowledge and experience will be on hand at the fourth Midwest Sports Performance Conference hosted by Kansas Athletics, May 10-11, 2013. The two-day event at the Anderson Family Strength and Conditioning Center on the campus of the University of Kansas will focus on preparing an athlete to compete in any sport at any level. Instruction will include: best practice training methods, student wellness education, programs for in-season and off-season preparation and ways to increase constant improvement at all skill levels. The conference is continuing education approved for NSCA (CEU’s) and the BOC provider. The workshop offers a combination of theory and practice presented by many of college athletics’ most respected sports science professionals over a two-day period, Dr. Andrew Fry, Chair at the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences at Kansas, and Andrea Hudy, KU Assistant Athletics Director/Sports Performance are co-directors of the conference. The conference begins with registration at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10, and concludes at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. Early conference registration, prior to April 5, 2013, is $225 per person.
