Candace Dunback

Candace Dunback started at Kansas Athletics in 2001 and currently serves as the director of traditions. Her main responsibilities are overseeing the Hall of Athletics and K Club. Dunback attended Nevada High School in Nevada, Mo. She graduated from KU in 1999 and received her master's degree here in 2002. As a student-athlete at Kansas, Dunback, then Candace Mason, was a five-time All-American and five-time conference champion in track and field, as well as an Academic All-American. She still holds the Kansas school records in the heptathlon and pentathlon. Dunback was an assistant track and field coach at KU and then spent two years as an assistant ticket manager at Kansas State University (2001-2003) before returning to her alma mater. Dunback and her husband, Chris (also a Kansas track and field alum), have two boys, Conor and Caden. |
