Phil Lowcock

Phil Lowcock is in his 19th season working for Kansas Athletics, and his second serving as the primary academic advisor for the baseball team. In addition to his duties with the baseball team, Lowcock also works with women's tennis, track and field and also teaches the Life Skills class, which is taken by a majority of freshman student-athletes. Lowcock is responsible for assisting the student-athletes in exploring different majors, course selection, setting up tutors when needed, academic counseling and ensuring they continue to progress toward graduation. Prior to working with KU Athletics, Lowcock served as an instructor in Health, Sport, and Exercise Science in the KU School of Education. He received his bachelor of science and his master's of science degrees from Kansas, and completed his Ph. D. in sport psychology/counseling psychology from KU in 1992. Lowcock, a native of Oklahoma, lives with his daughter, Megan, in Baldwin City, Kan. |
