Vince McKamie

Position: Assistant Director, Tutoring Program

Vince McKamie joined the Kansas Athletics department in August 2008 as an assistant director of tutoring. Prior to that McKamie was involved with KU athletics working with Jayhawk Sports Marketing for eight years.

In his current role, McKamie organizes and maintains tutoring schedules for student-athletes and trains, manages and supervises a group of tutors, who work with the student-athletes.

McKamie earned a degree in sports management from KU in 2000 and is expected to complete his master's in business administration in 2012.

He played high school baseball and basketball at Sumner Academy in Kansas City, Kan. before coming t KU. In his free time he enjoys traveling, playing basketball, football, softball and weight training.
