Associate Athletic Director - Capital Projects

Brad Nachtigal is in his tenth year with the KU athletics department and fourth year as the Associate Athletic Director - Capital Projects. In July 2007, he was promoted from Assistant Athletic Director - Facility Planning.

In his current role he serves as the department project manager for all the construction and renovation projects for Kansas Athletics, Inc. In October 2003, he was promoted from Director of Facilities and Events to the position of Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities and Operations. Nachtigal oversaw the operations and maintenance of all the athletic facilities and was responsible for the planning and management of all athletic events hosted in athletic facilities.

Along with his operations duties, he maintained the departmental master calendar for scheduling all athletic facilities, oversaw the departmental security operations and served on the KU Commencement Committee.

Nachtigal joined the staff in December 1999 after serving three and a half years as an Event Management Specialist in the University of Nebraska athletics department.

Prior to Nebraska, Nachtigal spend two years as a Graduate Assistant Business Manager at the University of Arkansas, where he earned his master's degree in sports administration in 1995. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1991 from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas.

Nachtigal, a native of Clay Center, Kansas, and his wife, Jodi, have two daughters, Madeline, 10, and Macy, 7.
