Beth Swank

Beth Swank joined the staff at the University of Kansas (KU) in November 2003 and was named the Director of Student-Athlete Financial Aid in October 2010. She works with the Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and is responsible for overseeing the management and distribution of financial aid for athletic scholarships. This includes books, tuition and room and board for the nearly 400 student-athletes on scholarship at Kansas. She works closely with the coaches and student-athletes as the liaison with the Office of Student Financial Aid. Additionally, she administers the National Letter of Intent program at KU. Swank also serves as the liaison to the Department of Student Housing and coordinates on-campus housing for student-athletes.
Prior to her current position, Swank was the executive assistant to the SWA. Her primary responsibilities included administering the Student Assistance Fund, managing student-athlete housing and coordinating various committee meetings. She worked in Student-Athlete Support Services as the Special Projects Coordinator prior to that.
Swank has earned two degrees from KU - both a bachelor's and a master's in education, with an emphasis in sports administration. She competed on the varsity swim team for the Jayhawks and earned several honors, including Academic All-American Honorable Mention. She also qualified for and participated in the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
Swank lives in Olathe with her husband, Josh, and their children, McKenna and Kaleb.
