Tegan Thornberry

Tegan Thornberry started at Kansas Athletics in August, 2003 and served as the travel manager until September, 2011. In September, 2011 Thornberry's position changed to Director of Team Operations for Swimming/Diving & Track/Cross Country. She is responsible for Director of Operations duties for both sports, including a liaison role with Student Athlete Services (financial aid, textbooks, housing, etc.), coordinating team travel, and working with the head coaches on submitting weekly practice logs to Compliance through JumpForward software. In her new role, Thornberry will continue her current travel-related duties with Olympic Sports and, as time allows in her primary role with both sports, continue to work on post-season travel arrangements. Thornberry was a member of the Kansas golf team and also worked as a men's basketball manager while in school. She also spent time as a baseball operations intern for the Kansas City Royals. Thornberry earned her bachelor's degree in sports and fitness management and her master's in sport studies at KU. She was born in Seoul, South Korea and attended Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kan. While in high school she played softball and golf. Thornberry is a member of the Society of Collegiate Travel Management. Her main hobby is golf. |
