Ashley Thornton

Ashley Thornton started at Kansas Athletics in September, 2007 and currently serves as director of promotions and branding. Ashley's main responsibilities include: administering the Junior Jayhawks Kids Club and the Jayhawk Birthday Program, coordinating the Hospitality on the Hill program and implementing sales promotions. Ashley is also the department contact for Hawk Week and New Student Orientation which are two University programs. Thornton attended Park Hill South High School in Parkville, Mo. She graduated from Kansas in 2006 with a degree in Health & Sport Management. While at Kansas, Thornton was a member of the cheerleading team and served as a captain her senior year. After graduation she spent a brief time as an account executive in sales and marketing for the Kansas City Chiefs. She served as an administrative assistant at KU from 2007-10 before being promoted to her current position. The former Ashley Schlotzhauer is married to former Kansas football player Justin Thornton. When not at work, she enjoys spoiling her two dogs, Boston and Ahli, and spending time with family and friends. |
