OLYMPIC BRONZE MEDALIST MORRISON
ADDED TO KANSAS RELAYS LINEUP

LAWRENCE, KAN. -- Olympic bronze medalist Melissa Morrison has been added to the 100-meter hurdles lineup for this weekend's Kansas Relays, held April 18-21 at KU's Memorial Stadium.

Morrison, a bronze medalist in the 100 hurdles at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, will compete in that event at the Kansas Relays. The 100 hurdles is slated to start at 12:54 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Memorial Stadium.

Morrison, whose personal-best time of 12.53 in the 100 hurdles is second among Americans behind only Gail Devers, is a three-time U.S. Indoor champion (1998, 1999 and 2000) and also captured the 1997 U.S. Outdoor title. Competing out of Columbia, S.C., Morrison bounced back from a severly sprained ankle prior to the Olympics to capture bronze in Sydney.
