LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas men’s golf team returns to seven of its 13 events from the 2013-14 season as third year coach Jamie Bermel released the 2014-15 schedule Tuesday.
 
The Jayhawks open the 2014-15 season at the Wolverine Intercollegiate in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sept. 6-7. Following the Wolverine Intercollegiate, the Jayhawks will return to the Ram Master Invitational at Fort Collins, Colorado, on Sept. 15-16, where they finished eighth out of 15 teams on the par-70 Fort Collins Country Club course last year.
  The Badger Invitational will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sept. 28-30. Last season Kansas finished second behind South Carolina at the par-72 University Ridge Golf Course at Badger Invite. KU will then play at the Sagamore Preview at Noblesville, Indiana, on Oct. 13-14. 
 
KU will then compete at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational in El Paso, Texas, Oct. 24-26. The Jayhawks finished fourth out of 15 teams last season at the par-72 Butterfield Trail Golf Club at the event. KU rounds out the fall with the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic at Lahaina, Hawaii, on Nov. 7-9.
 
Kansas will head into the spring with three return events from 2013-14 including: the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the par-72 Classic Club Golf Course in Palm Desert, California, Feb. 20-22; the Louisiana Classics Invitational at Lafayette, Louisiana, March 2-3; and the Desert Shootout at Phoenix, Arizona, March 19-21.
 
KU will finish the regular season with the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship at West Point, Mississippi, April 6-7, the Hawkeye Invitational at Iowa City, Iowa, April 18-19, and the Big 12 Conference Championship at Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 27-29.
 
Kansas returns four of the top five scorers of last season including sophomore Chase Hanna, senior Logan Philley, junior Ben Welle and junior Connor Peck. The Jayhawks will also add a strong core of talent to the team with four freshmen: Spencer Painton, Gary Daoust, Daniel Hudson and redshirt Brock Drogosch. Hudson and Drogosch have both qualified to play in the 2014 U.S. Amateur, August 11-14, in Atlanta.
