KU Women’s Hoops “Hawk Talk” Cancelled for Thursday

LAWRENCE, Kan. – As Kansas women’s basketball overcame a 17-point deficit to edge Texas Tech, 68-66, in the final seconds on Wednesday evening, a winter storm rolled into west Texas blanketing Lubbock and surrounding areas with snow. Because of the storm and poor flying conditions, the Jayhawks remained in Lubbock for an extra night and will travel back to Lawrence on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Head coach Bonnie Henrickson and the rest of the KU women’s basketball program won’t return to campus in time for “Hawk Talk,” which was scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m., at Henry T’s. Tonight’s “Hawk Talk” will be rescheduled for a later date this season.

The Jayhawks (10-9, 1-5) welcome West Virginia to Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. Saturday is KU’s annual Superhero Game, where all children that dress like their favorite superhero will receive free admission and can participate in a Superhero Parade. The contest will air on FSN and the Jayhawk Radio Network.
