Behind Levonowich’s senior leadership was junior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn and sophomore Pornvipa Sakdee who each carded a 78 (+6) Monday. Kawinpakorn currently sits tied for 14th at 149 (+5) and Sakdee is tied for 61st at 159 (+15) in the 81-golfer field.

“We were able to hold our position today even though we gave too many shots away on the greens.” Kansas coach Erin O’Neil said. “Tomorrow will be a good opportunity to take advantage of the weather conditions since the forecast is for cold temps and rain and hopefully we can capitalize on that to move up the leaderboard a few spots. Minami played very well today in tough conditions and did a great job of leading the way for us.”

LSU holds a one stroke lead with a score of 588 (+12) over UCLA and Tulane, who has a score 589 (+13). Arizona is in third place with a score of 596 (+20). Kansas is two strokes behind ninth-place Mississippi State, who has a score of 613 (+37).

The tournament will conclude tomorrow on Tuesday where the Jayhawks will play the final 18 holes. Live scoring for the event can be found at www.Golfstat.com.
