THE BASELINE
Kansas women’s tennis looks to stay perfect at home when it plays host to Iowa Monday, March 2. The jayhawks have played just one match at home in 2015, picking up an exciting 4-3 win over then-ranked No. 49 Houston. The Jayhawks and Hawkeyes will start play at 3 p.m., at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Admission to the event is free and the first 100 fans in attendance will receive free pizza.
 
THE SERIES: KANSAS VS. IOWA
iowa leads the all-time series with Kansas, 9-7. The Hawkeyes have reeled off six-straight match-ups between the two programs, including the last meeting in 2010. None of the current Jayhawks have faced Iowa in their careers. 
 
SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
Iowa enters Monday’s match at Kansas with a 4-3 overall mark. The Hawkeyes just opened Big 10 Conference play Saturday, with a 5-2 loss at the hands of No. 21 Purdue. The Hawkeyes opened the 2015 dual-match season with four-straight wins, but have since dropped three-consecutive matches, including a loss to KU’s Big 12 Conference rival, Oklahoma. Senior Shelby Talcott leads Iowa from both the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles position. Talcott posted a 7-3 singles mark during fall play and has been vital to the Hawkeyes roster during all four of her seasons in Iowa City.
