NORMAN, Okla. – Stormy weather at the Belmar Golf Club forced the second round of the Schooner Classic to be postponed. Rounds 2 and 3 will be played Monday, beginning at 8:30 a.m. No official shots took place on Sunday, leaving the team and player leaderboards unchanged from the end of Saturday’s action.
Heading into the final 36 holes, Kansas is in third place after shooting 285 (+1) on the par-71, 5,901-yard course. The Jayhawks are nine strokes behind first-place Oklahoma State. Senior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn leads all golfers with a 63 (-8). Her score was good enough to break the KU 18-hole record by four strokes and the Schooner Classic 18-hole versus par record by one stroke. She leads second-place Chih-Min Chen of Oklahoma State by two strokes.
