LAWRENCE, Kan. – For the fourth-consecutive year, Kansas women’s basketball will have more than 20 games air nationally, making it easier for fans across the country to watch the Jayhawks in action, as KU announced the full broadcast slate for the 2016-17 season Thursday.

With two-third of KU’s games set to be broadcasted in 2016-17, Kansas continues to be one of the most televised women’s basketball programs in the nation.

Every home matchup this year will be showcased on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ESPN3 as a part of the Jayhawk Television Network. KU’s Kansas Athletics’ partnership with Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ESPN3 brings fans closer to the Jayhawks with each passing season.

ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app will exclusively broadcast the Jayhawks’ nonconference contest against Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 17. The rest of KU’s home slate will air on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel throughout the state of Kansas and can be seen nationally on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

As announced early this week, Kansas will also have one contest featured on FSN and two on ESPNU this season. KU’s matchup with Texas Tech on Jan. 28 will tipoff at 11 a.m. on FSN, while the Jayhawks face Iowa State on Jan. 8 and Baylor on Jan. 15 on ESPNU. Both games are slated for 1 p.m. starts. Additionally, FOX Sports Network will air every game at the Big 12 Championship, which tips off on March 3 at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Additionally, every game of the 2016-17 campaign will be broadcast on the Jayhawk IMG Sports Radio Network. Each contest will be available on the Kansas Mobile app, via KUAthletics.com or Tunein app.

Jimmy Chavez enters his second year as the voice of Kansas women’s basketball and will call all the action, home and away, this season with the help of longtime KU radio veteran David Lawrence at home.

The Jayhawks open their 2016-17 season at the 32nd annual Late Night in the Phog presented by Hy-Vee Saturday, Oct. 1, in Allen Fieldhouse. Late Night in the Phog will run from 6:30 p.m., to approximately 9:30 p.m.
