PALM MONDAY – As junior golfer Daniel Hudson followed through on a tee shot, the palm tree in the background made it evident the KU team was playing far from Kansas on Monday, October 10. In fact, the Jayhawks were playing at the Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas, in the Bayou City Collegiate Championship that began on the 10th. KU won the two-day, 36-hole event by 17 strokes.

WATER WORKS – What kid hasn’t blown into a straw to force bubbles to rise in a drink? While it might look as though KU golfer Daniel Hudson is doing just that, the junior was only lining up a putt while a fountain aerated a pond near a green at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas, on Tuesday, October 11, where the Jayhawks won the Bayou City Collegiate Championship.

THE BEAT OF A DIFFERENT DRUM – As the KU volleyball team marched to a three-set victory over intrastate rival Kansas State on Wednesday, October 12, a group of players marched to the beat of a different drum while dancing to a popular song played in the Horejsi Family Athletics Center during a break in the action.
