Jayhawks arrive in Honolulu for Armed Forces Classic

HONOLULU – After a long day of travel from Kansas City, the No. 3/2 Kansas Jayhawks arrived in Honolulu Tuesday for the upcoming men’s basketball season opener against No. 11/12 Indiana on Friday, Nov. 11, in the State Farm Armed Forces Classic.

The two-game event features Michigan State and Arizona at 6 p.m. (Central) followed by KU-IU, scheduled for an 8 p.m. tip. Both contests will be televised on ESPN and played at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii.
 
All four teams in the Armed Forces Classic arrived Tuesday afternoon and participated in a welcome dinner at the U.S. Naval Base Pearl Harbor.
 
On Wednesday, the Jayhawks will practice in the morning on the U.S. Naval Base. Following lunch the group will tour a destroyer ship and take a ferry and tour the USS Arizona Memorial. After the Jayhawks will return to the naval base and assist in a kid’s clinic.
