“Well-Oiled Machine” – That is how KU men’s basketball coach Bill Self described the process whereby the coaching staff and players were able to autograph over 500 basketballs in 50 minutes in the locker room at Allen Fieldhouse on Wednesday, November 30. With help from the marketing department staff and the student managers, the basketballs’ movement started with the coaches and circled the locker room from class-to-class, ending with the freshmen.

Through the Window – Freshman Andrea Willis seemed to pole vault not just over the bar, but through the windows of the Anschutz Sports Pavilion on her way to being the top collegiate finisher in the vault competition. Willis cleared 3.96 meters (12-11¾) at the Bob Timmons Challenge, KU track & field’s season-opening indoor meet on Friday, December 2.
