DORANCE ARMSTRONG JR.

Armstrong was named Associated Press First Team All-Big 12 after he had one of the best seasons of any defender in the conference, including a league-leading 20.0 tackles-for-loss. His 20 TFLs rank third best in KU single-season history and had him ranked fifth in the FBS. Additionally, Armstrong posted 10 sacks, which ranked second in the Big 12 and 18th in the NCAA. For the season, Armstrong recorded 56 total tackles, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and five quarterback hurries to go along with his sacks and TFLs.
 

JADA BURSE

Burse led Kansas with 14 kills in her NCAA Tournament debut as the Jayhawks rolled to a 3-0, First Round victory over Samford at Horejsi Family Athletics Center last week. Burse led the No. 5 overall-seeded Jayhawks outright for the first time this season and logged a team-best six kills in the second set, including a set-clinching point after the Bulldogs pulled within one late. She added three kills during a 7-0 run to put away Samford in the third set.
  

SYDNEY CONLEY

Less than a year after suffering a shoulder injury that sidelined her for the 2016 season, Conley returned to the track and once again showed her mettle as one of the top track athletes in the nation. Conley posted a new personal-record time of 7.42 in the 60-meter dash, shaving .03 seconds off her previous best. The mark also moved Conley to sixth on the Jayhawks’ all-time 60-meter list. She became the first collegian to break the 7.50-barrier in the event in 2016-17 and had the nation’s top mark after the meet.
 

LAGERALD VICK

Vick averaged 15.5 points in Kansas’ wins over Long Beach State and Stanford last week, including a career-high 23 vs. LBSU. In his first career start, Vick opened the week almost perfect, going 9-for-9, including 4-for-4 from long range, in the win against Long Beach State. Vick missed a free throw in the contest. His 9-for-9 effort tied for the most field goals made without a miss in the Bill Self era with current NBA Jayhawk Tarik Black during the 2013-14 season.
