HELSINKI – Kansas men’s basketball guard Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and the Ukraine National Team will begin competition at the FIBA U20 European Championship beginning on Saturday in Finland.

Mykhailiuk, beginning his fifth tournament representing his home country, averages 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game during competitions with the Ukraine National Team.

There are four groups of four teams in the FIBA U20 European Championship, including Group C with Ukraine, Latvia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Group competition determines seeding in the 16-team bracket to determine the overall champion. The event concludes on July 24 with the championship game.

Mykhailiuk and Ukraine begin competition against Slovenia on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. Central time. All games will be live streamed on YouTube.
