Women’s Singles Draw // Men’s Singles Draw

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Action will get underway at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) 2016 ITA Summer Circuit hosted by the University of Kansas Saturday morning. The tournament is being held at the Jayhawk Tennis Center (Genesis) located at 5200 Clinton Parkway. Matches will begin Saturday, and will run through Monday, July 18. Admission is free, and play is expected to begin at 8 a.m., each day.

A total of 50 tournaments spread across 24 states are included in this year’s Summer Circuit, up from 34 in 2015. KU is hosting in the fourth leg of the six-week long event.

The ITA Summer Circuit provides an opportunity for college players, incoming freshmen, recent college graduates and junior players who are ITA members to compete in the summer months. Since 1993 the event has allowed nearly 30,000 players to compete at the regional level.

Open singles and doubles action will qualify players for points. Regional winners advance to the ITA Summer Nationals in Bloomington, Indiana, August 13-16 at Indiana University.

The Jayhawk Tennis Center is undergoing some construction so participants should enter the facility on the right side of the Genesis Health Club building and follow the walkway to the outdoor courts which will be visible. If it is raining, you can enter through the Genesis Health Club building.
