Cedo Qualifies for Match Play at U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship

PARAMUS, N.J. – Kansas incoming freshman women’s golfer Annika Cedo has qualified for match play at the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. Cedo will face Conner Beth Ball in the round of 64 on Wednesday, July 20.
 
From the Philippines, Cedo tied for 38th in the 156 golfer field after shooting a two-round 153 (+7) in the stroke play portion of the championship. Cedo carded an even-par 73 in her opening round July 18 and a 6-over 79 on Tuesday. Ball tied for 17th in stroke play shooting a two-round 149 (+3).
 
Cedo and Ball are set to start their match at 9:51 a.m. (Central) with the winner advancing to the second of six rounds of match play. The event will conclude with a 36-hole championship on July 23.
