 LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball hits the road for the first of two games in row away from Allen Fieldhouse, as the Jayhawks travel to TCU on Sunday, Jan. 22. The contest tips off at 6 p.m., inside Schollmaier Arena on FOX Sports Southwest Plus and the Jayhawk Radio Network.

• Sunday’s matchup is the first meeting between Kansas and TCU this season. The Jayhawks look to snap a seven-game losing streak to start Big 12 Conference action and make it two wins in row over the Horned Frogs.
• The Jayhawks have an 5-6 mark against TCU since 2009 and a 1-3 record when facing the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth.
• Six of Kansas’ first seven Big 12 Conference games are against a nationally-ranked opponent. Kansas is 0-6 against teams ranked in the top 25 this season.

• Kansas dished out 14 assists against Kansas State (1/11) and has recorded 10 or more assists in seven of its last 11 games.
• Redshirt junior guard Jessica Washington has led all scorers in five of seven Big 12 contests in 2017. Washington leads the league in scoring in Big 12 only games with 19.6 points per contest and is ranked seventh in the conference in all games with 15.7 points per game.
• Washington made 7-of-10 (.700) attempts from the 3-point line at K-State and ended the contest one triple shy of tying KU’s single-game record of eight set in 1996 by Charisse Sampson. 

ABOUT THE JAYHAWKS
Kansas heads back on the road to continue Big 12 Conference play with the first of two-straight road games at TCU on Sunday night. During the first meeting of the year between the two programs, KU looks to snap its seven-game losing skid. The Jayhawks head into the week facing just their second opponent not among the national rankings in their last eight games. KU is 6-12 on the season and has a 0-7 mark in league play. 

The Jayhawks are averaging 61.6 points per game with a scoring margin of -9.6. KU is making 33.2 percent of its shots from the field, while converting 28.8 percent of its attempts from the 3-point line. Kansas is averaging 40.3 boards per game. The Jayhawks have also swiped 9.4 steals per contest, good for the third-most by any team in the conference. 

Redshirt junior guard Jessica Washington leads the team with 15.7 points per game behind 33.3 percent shooting from the field. During Big 12 Conference play, Washington is tops in the league with 19.6 points per game after leading all scorers in five of her last seven outings. In conference action, Washington is connecting on 35.8 percent of her attempts, including 44.5 percent of her shots from long range. Redshirt sophomore guard McKenzie Calvert is also averaging double digits for the season with 12.0 points per game. 

Sophomore guard Kylee Kopatich is third on the squad with 9.1 points per game and has recorded double-digit scoring performances in four of her last five starts. Junior forward Chayla Cheadle is grabbing a team-best 5.1 boards per game, leading the squad in offensive (28) and defensive (64) rebounds. 

SCOUTING THE HORNED FROGS
After starting the year with four-straight victories, TCU has hit a bump in the road by winning just one of its last seven games. On the year, the Horned Frogs own a 9-9 mark and are 1-6 Big 12 Conference play. 

Junior guard AJ Alix is one of three Horned Frogs averaging double figures and leads the squad with 11.3 points per game behind a 36.3 field goal percentage. Alix also leads the team with 80 assists so far this season. Senior guard Jada Butts is netting 10.8 points per game, while redshirt sophomore forward Amy Okonkwo is scoring 10.6 points per contest. Defensively, sophomore center Jordan Moore leads the team in rebounds with 6.4 per game and has swatted away a team-best 25 blocks. 

THIS DAY IN KU WBB HISTORY
Record on Jan. 22: 7-7
Sunday night’s contest is the 15th time in program history that Kansas has played on Jan. 22. On this day in 2005, Kansas won its first Big 12 Conference game of the season in a thrilling 63-61 victory over Missouri. In front of 4,629 fans, Crystal Kemp shined with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Erica Hallman connected on four 3-pointers as she tallied 16 points and six assists. Aquanita Burras added 12 points and recorded four steals in the victory.

SWIPE AND SCORE
The Jayhawks are averaging 15.4 points per game off of their opponents’ turnovers. Kansas is forcing 19.4 turnovers per contest, including 9.4 steals. Sophomore guard Kylee Kopatich and redshirt sophomore guard McKenzie Calvert lead the team with 28 steals each.

BIG 12 CONFERENCE CORNER
Kansas is among the top five in several Big 12 Conference statistical categories. The Jayhawks have forced the most turnovers per game this season in the Big 12 after averaging 19.4 per contest. KU is tied for second in the league in steals per game (9.4) and third in offensive rebounds (14.1). Individually, redshirt junior Jessica Washington recorded the most made free throws in a single game after converting all 12 attempts from the charity stripe against UC Riverside (12/21). Washington’s 15.7 points per game ranks seventh in the Big 12 in scoring per contest.
