Halloween activities highlight KU’s first exhibition game on Oct. 31

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Ghosts, goblins and all kinds of costumes will be in full force when Kansas plays host to Pittsburg State, Oct. 31 at Allen Fieldhouse.
 
Children 13 years-old or younger, and in costume, will have the opportunity to Trick or Treat on the concourses of Allen Fieldhouse before the Jayhawk-Gorilla contest. With the clear bag policy in effect, KU Athletics will provide a candy bag for those participating in the Trick or Treat festivities one in Allen Fieldhouse. Moreover, fake weapons will not be allowed into the facility.
 
At halftime of the KU-Pitt State contest, those 13 and under, and in costume, are welcome to partake in a costume parade on the Allen Fieldhouse court.
 
For KU students, the first 1,200 in attendance will receive a voucher for a free hot dog and drink courtesy of KU Athletics and Pepsi. Also for KU students, there will be an in-game Snapchat student costume contest with $500 in books going to the winner. Students must have the sports combo ticket package and claimed a ticket for the game.
 
Tip for the KU-Pitt State contest from Allen Fieldhouse will be at 7 p.m. and the doors will be open at 5 p.m. for KU students and 5:30 p.m. for the general public. Single-game tickets for the Pittsburg State and other home contests are available at KUTickets.com.
