TESS BERNARD-FEIGENBAUM
Tennis | Senior | New York, New York
Bio Full Bio

Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum took control of her own script Saturday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center to conclude a storybook Senior Day. In her final regular-season home match, Bernard-Feigenbaum rallied from a 4-0 deficit to Kansas State’s Millie Stretton in the first set to force a tiebreaker at 6-6. After dropping the tiebreaker 7-1, she had to battle back once again to win the match. The lone KU senior did just that, winning the final two sets 6-2, 6-4 and clinch the match point in a 4-2 win over the in-state rival in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown. Against the Wildcats, Bernard-Feigenbaum also teamed with Nina Khmelnitckaia to earn a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Anastasia Rychagova, the No. 78-ranked player in the nation, finished the week with a 3-1 overall record, including a pair of victories at the No. 1 singles position. Against No. 38 Tulsa, Rychagova made relatively quick work her opponent, Ksenia Laskutova, 6-0, 6-3. On Saturday versus Kansas State, Rychagova started the first set down 3-0 before forcing a tie-breaker. The KU sophomore traded points with Carolina Costamagna during the tiebreaker before eventually winning 7-6 (7-5). With the momentum in hand, Rychagova cruised to an easy 6-0 second-set victory to claim the match. Teaming with Janet Koch, the Jayhawk tandem downed the K-State doubles team, 6-3, at the No. 2 position to earn KU the doubles point.Central Bank of the Midwest Ad

JACKSON GODDARD
Baseball | Sophomore | Tulsa, Oklahoma
Bio Full Bio

Sophomore righty Jackson Goddard paced Kansas to a victory Saturday over Oklahoma State (April 17) to clinch the Jayhawks’ second conference series win of the season and fifth-straight over OSU played at Hoglund Ballpark. Goddard struck out a career-high 13 batters – the most for a KU player since 2014 and second-most ever in the Ritch Price era (2003-present) – and did not surrender a walk in the 111-pitch effort that spanned six innings, while allowing five hits. His only true blemish came in the top of the sixth inning where he gave up a solo shot amounting to his lone earned run of the contest. He exited the game with a 3-2 lead, and that is all the KU bullpen needed to solidify Goddard’s third win of the season.

CHASE HANNA
Men’s Golf | Senior | Leawood, Kansas
Bio Full Bio

In his final regular-season event, senior Chase Hanna finished the Hawkeye Invitational in fifth place at 3-under par. With that finish, Hanna has now placed in the top-20 in three-straight events, and recorded three top-five finishes this season. Playing the first 11 holes of the second round at 1-over par before a weather delay, Hanna opened up Sunday with back-to-back birdies and played his remaining seven holes at 3-under par on his way to a second round, 70. Taking advantage of a familiar Finkbine Golf Course, Hanna led the Jayhawks to a third-place finish overall as he collected 14 total birdies, the second most by any player in the field.
