Rychagova sweeps ITA Summer Circuit

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas’ Anastasia Rychagova took advantage of her home court and walked away with both the singles and doubles titles, along with partner Nina Khmelnitckaia, Monday on the final day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Summer Circuit at the Jayhawk Tennis Center at Rock Chalk Park.
 
Entering the event as the No. 1-seeded doubles team, Rychagova and Khmelnitckaia downed Jayhawk teammates Despoina Vogasari and Janet Koch, 8-2, in the doubles championship. It marked the second-straight year Rychagova won the doubles championship at this event, after winning last season with recent KU graduate Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum.
 
In the singles title match, Rychagova topped KU’s Tatiana Nikolaeva 6-3, 6-1 to claim the championship.
