Rychagova sweeps Kansas State ITA Summer Circuit

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas junior Anastasia Rychagova claimed both the women’s open singles and doubles titles, with sophomore partner Tatiana Nikolaeva, Monday on the final day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Summer Circuit at the Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.
 
Rychagova and Nikolaeva entered the event as the No. 1-seeded doubles team and started the weekend with a first-round bye. The duo then defeated three-straight opponents to earn the title.
 
Also listed as the No. 1 seed in the singles bracket, Rychagova earned three-consecutive wins, including the final match against No. 3 seed and teammate, Despoina Vogasari, to claim the championship.
