The KU Trademark Licensing Office helps protect and promote the trademarks, University name, and icons associated with The University of Kansas. A formal licensing program has been in existence since 1982 and is now administered by Kansas Athletics.

Partnering with The Collegiate Licensing Company, the office is responsible for making sure that all commercial uses of logos are appropriate, are used with authorization, and that the University is compensated for such use.
