Opened the season at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular (1/13) with a sixth-place finish in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 11.62 meters (38-1.5 ft.) and seventh-place finish in the shot put with another career-best of 12.71 meters (41-8.5 ft.).

2017 OUTDOOR (So.)
Finished sixth in the discus at the Rock Chalk Classic (4/28) with a mark of 45.56 meters (149-6 ft.) … Posted a 12th-place finish at the Kansas Relays (4/19-22) in the discus with a throw measuring 46.17 meters (151-6 ft.).

Finished fifth in the shot put, his only event of the season, at the Jayhawk Classic (1/26-27) with a throw of 12.66 meters (41-6.5 ft.).

Placed sixth in the shot put at the Bill Easton Classic (1/8) with a mark of 12.13 meters (39-9.75 ft.) … Finished 10th at the Jayhawk Classic (1/29) after a shot put throw of 12.21 meters (40-0.75 ft.).

HIGH SCHOOL
Four-time letterwinner for head coach Gary Griffin at Louisburg High School … Claimed the 2015 4A Kansas state title in the discus with a toss of 52.76 meters (173-1 ft.) … The state runner-up in the discus as a junior in 2014 when he posted a mark of 53.24 meters (174-8 ft.) … Top discus mark of his high school career was a throw of 57.08 meters (187-3 ft.), a school record, at the 2014 Wellsville Invitational … Also an all-league and honorable mention all-state selection as a member of the Wildcat soccer team in 2013 and 2014.
