Opened his season at the Jayhawk Classic (1/23-1/24), throwing 24.38m (80-00 ft.) in the weight throw, becoming the No. 5 performer in NCAA history, while setting the KU indoor school record … Threw 24.27m (79-7.5 ft.) in the weight throw at the Tyson Invitational (2/14-2/15), winning the event … Went on to win his third Big 12 Indoor title in the weight throw at the Big 12 Indoor Championship (2/28-2/29) … Enters the NCAA Indoor Championships with the No.1 mark in the country (24.38m (80-00 ft.)), while holding the top-seven throws this season.

Finished second in the hammer throw at the Florida Relays (3/28-3/30) with a mark of 74.39 meters (244-1 ft.) which is the No. 1 mark in the NCAA, No. 11 mark in the world and the No. 5, 6 and 10 marks at KU … Won the hammer throw at the Battle on the Bayou (4/6) with a mark of 73.47 meters (241-0 ft.) … Earned a first-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 72.29 meters (237-2 ft.) at the 92nd Kansas Relays (4/17-20) … Won his third-straight Big 12 Outdoor title in the hammer throw at the Big 12 Championship (5/10-12), throwing 70.48m (231-03 ft.) … Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary (5/23-25), where he threw 74.20m (243-05 ft.) in the men’s hammer throw, which was the top mark of the west …. Opened his season with first place finish at the Texas Tech Open (2/1-2/2) with a mark of 23.08 meters (75-8.75 ft.) in the weight throw for the No. 4 performance at KU and the No. 3 performance in the NCAA this season … Won the weight throw at the Big 12 Indoor Championship (2/22-2/23) with a mark of 23.29 meters (76-5 ft.) for the No. 3, 4 and 6 performances in KU history … Earned a trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships (3/8-9) in the weight throw, but fouled on all three attempts.

Opened his season by winning the premiere hammer throw at the Sun Angel Classic (4/6-7) with three of the top-five marks ever recorded in Kansas history, including a school-record throw of 74.35 meters (243-11 ft.) … Broke his own school record, the Rock Chalk Park facility record and the Kansas Relays meet record with a throw of 78.04m (256-0 ft.) to win the quadrangular section of the Kansas Relays (4/18-21) and become the No. 5 all-time collegiate performer in the hammer throw as well as the No. 5 performer in the world in 2018 … Won the Big 12 Championship (5/11-13) hammer throw title with a mark of 72.37 meters (237-5 ft.), breaking Baylor’s Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium facility record … Top performer in the hammer throw at the NCAA West Preliminary (5/24-26) to qualify for the NCAA Championships with a mark of 73.09 meters (239-9 ft.), which was the No. 3 performance in meet history … Earned Second Team All-America honors with a 12th-place finish in the hammer throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/6-9) with a mark of 69.18 meters (227-0 ft.).
