👟 Jayhawks Split Time at LSU, Stanford and Mike Fanelli Track Classic

The Kansas Track and Field team will be competing at three meets on March 29-30, with the majority of the group headed to the LSU Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, and a group of six distance runners splitting between the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California and the Mike Fanelli Distance Classic in Hayward, California.

🏀 Kansas Great Walt Wesley Passes

Kansas great Walt Wesley died at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, Thursday morning, former KU head coach Ted Owens informed Kansas Athletics. Wesley was 79 years old and had been fighting leukemia the past few years.

Kansas Baseball will head to BYU for a series against the Cougars this weekend, beginning on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. The three-game set will be the second of five Big 12 series on the road this season for the Jayhawks.

After sweeping Houston on the road last weekend, Kansas softball has earned distinctions in three nationals polls this week. KU is ranked No. 18 in the Softball America Poll, No. 21 in the D1Softball Poll and No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. Kansas is also receiving votes in the NFCA coaches poll.

⚾ Buck O’Neil Classic Moving to Lawrence; Jayhawks to Still Play at Legends Field

The third annual Buck O’Neil Classic is set to return this year, with the venue changing to Hoglund Ballpark this season. The game will be played on April 9 against Nebraska at 6 p.m. CT. Kansas will also continue its partnership with the Kansas City Monarchs and play at Legends Field on May 7 against Omaha at 6 p.m. CT.
