The University of Kansas announced Thursday it has embarked on a groundbreaking partnership with Oak View Group (OVG), a leader in global sports and entertainment, as the stadium operator for the Gateway District and reimagined David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Led by under-par rounds from senior duo Davis Cooper and Cecil Belisle, the Kansas men's golf team is in a tie for ninth place at +13 with 18 holes left to play of the Big 12 Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club.

The Kansas Jayhawks (27-17-1, 11-10 Big 12) hosts its fourth-straight game at Arrocha Ballpark as it faces off against local foe Kansas City (16-26, 4-8 The Summit) on Wednesday, April 24, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. CT. 

The Kansas men’s golf team shot rounds of 298 (+10) and 290 (+2) and sit in a three-way tie for eighth place after 36 holes of the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship, hosted at Whispering Pines Golf Club. Sophomore Will King fired off a four-under round of 68 Monday afternoon and sits T5 at -1.

Kansas will wrap up its four-game road stretch with a trip to Lincoln to play Nebraska on Tuesday night at 6:05 p.m. CT at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park. The Jayhawks have won six of their last seven games.

Kansas clinched a series win on Sunday with an 8-4 victory in the conclusion of Saturday’s game and then a 12-2 run-rule win in the originally scheduled game. With the two victories, Kansas now has nine Big 12 wins this season, surpassing its conference win total from the 2023 season.

Kansas softball was held scoreless in the series finale vs. No. 1 Texas, 7-0, in front of 1,039 fans at Arrocha Ballpark on Sunday afternoon.

The Kansas men’s golf team will open postseason play on Monday, April 22, at the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas.
