Academic Counselors
The Academic and Career Counseling program assists all student-athletes in exploring their academic and career options, choosing a major and planning the appropriate course work to complete their degrees. Each sport has its own sport counselor who is responsible for making sure student-athletes make acceptable progress toward their degrees. Our staff members routinely communicate with faculty members to gauge our student-athlete's performance in the classroom.

Kansas Athletics Tutoring Program
The University of Kansas offers student-athletes an academic support program designed to help them meet the challenge of accommodating both athletic and academic demands. The purpose of the program is to help student-athletes become efficient and effective learners who will become capable of independently meeting the demands of the university's academic programs.

Tutoring is available for all student-athletes, regardless of scholarship status or sport. During the 2008-09 academic year, the Kansas Athletics Tutoring program administered over 1,500 weekly tutor sessions to approximately 400 student-athletes.

Career Services
Kansas Athletics is dedicated to providing exceptional career coaching to all current student-athletes. We accomplish this education and exploration through the classroom via PRE 210 (Career and Life Planning), whole group seminars and small group career meetings. Additionally, our staff understands the importance of networking and organizes events that allow our student-athletes to connect with donors and former student-athletes and alums. We also assist our student-athletes in creating resumes and help them position their information within a variety of networks.
