Denita Miller captured second in the javelin with a throw of 149-09.

 Sondra Rauterkus leaped 5-07 for second in the high jump.

 Teammate Joanie Nelson finished fourth with a jump of 5-05.
Former KU javelin thrower Scott Russell finished second Friday.

 Joanie Nelson took the baton from Megan Manthe during the final exchange of KU's second-place 4-mile relay team.
