Records 'Rain' In Final Day Of 2003
Kansas Relays, Kansas Hails Two More Relays Champions In Hann And
Hackler
Despite opening the final day of the 2003 Kansas Relays with
heavy showers and lightening Saturday, causing a two-hour delay in
Memorial Stadium, the events resumed at 11:00 a.m. and all but eight
events were completed before the storm returned. The rain couldn't
stop record-breaking performances however, as men's shot put
competitor Kevin Toth threw a massive 74-04.50, the best throw in the
world since 1988 and a new Relays record. (AP

Four Records Fall In Day 3 Of The
Kansas Relays
Records were set in the men's shuttle hurdle relay (Nebraska,
59.10), the boy's 800m run (Marble Falls' Leonel Manzano, 1:51.54),
the boy's 400m relay (Jenks, 41.60) and the girls 800m run (Shawnee
Heights' Trisa Nockoley, 2:12.53) in Day 3 of the 2003 Kansas Relays,
Friday at Memorial Stadium, as the weather held off and no events

Regional Competition; Husker Duo wins Heptathlon/Decathlon In Day 2
Of The 2003 Kansas Relays
The rain held off for Day 2 of the Kansas Relays, as Huskers
Ashley Selig (4,954 points) and Casey Thom (7,226 points) claimed the
Heptathlon and Decathlon titles, Thursday, in Memorial Stadium.
