MORRIS LEADS DECATHLON AFTER DAY ONE


KU's Andy Morris leads the decathlon after the first five eventsof the Kansas Relays. The junior has accumulated 3,798 points to leadby 114 over Justin Conkling. Kansas sophomore Dorian Jordan iscurrently in seventh place.

After four events of the women's heptathlon, KU's Ashley Pyle isin second-place. Pyle has 2,576 points and trails Oklahoma's LindseyCobbs by 171 points. Sophomore Erika Hamel is in fourth place andfreshman Megan Wray is in sixth for the Jayhawks.

Both the decathlon and heptathlon will begin tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.Field events begin tomorrow as well with the women's hammer throwstarting at 12:00 p.m. Running events begin tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.with the women's 800-meter run.
