Originally founded as the Outland Club in 1949 by Dick, Skipper and Odd Williams, the Williams Education Fund (WEF) is the official fundraising department for Kansas Athletics.
2012 OUTDOOR Best performance in high jump of the season came at the Baker Relays (3/24), placing second overall while clearing a season-best mark of 2.01 meters (6-07.00 ft.)... Finished fifth at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational (4/27) with his clearance of 1.97 meters (6-05.50 ft.)... Took seventh at the Arkansas Twilight (5/4) after clearing a mark of 1.97 meters (6-5.50 ft.).
2012 INDOOR Notched a top clearance of 2.00 meters (6-06.75 ft.) twice on the season, the first coming at the Bill Easton Classic (1/7) in a fourth-place finish, and the second at the Jayhawk Classic (1/27) where he finished ninth... Competed at the New Balance Invitational (2/4) in New York, earning an eighth-place finish with his top height of 1.94 meters (6-04.50 ft.).
HIGH SCHOOL 2011 Kansas 6A state champion in the high jump... Jumped under head coach Steve Heffernan, a KU track & field alumnus, at Lawrence Free State HS... Set a Lawrence Free State record with a mark of 6-05 ft... Placed seventh in the high jump at the Kansas state championships as a junior... Member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL Son of Chuck and Lisa Hoag... Has three siblings: Taylor (23), Chase (21) and Courtney (16)... Grandfather, Charlie, competed in football and track for KU and was a member of the 1952 NCAA Champion basketball team... Father, Chuck, and mother, Lisa, each attended KU... Majoring in sports management.
