This is the highest leadership position attainable as a student-athlete in the NCAA governance structure. Baysinger will serve as chair until January 2010. 2008 Outdoor: Finished fourth at the Big 12 Championships in the 800-meter run ... Ran three Regional marks, including a career best time of 1:49.08 at the Sooner Invitational ... Anchored the 1600 meter relay, placing seventh at the Big 12 Championships ... Named All Big 12 for the seventh time in his career. 2008 Indoor: Competed in five different events ... Placed third at the Big 12 Championships in the 600-yard run ... Set an Anschutz Pavilion record in the 600 meters at the Jayhawk Classic with a first place time of 1:20.08 ... His time at the Jayhawk Classic is the fastest known 600 meters in Kansas history ... Placed second in the 400 meters at the Jayhawk Classic (49.64) ... Won the 600-yard run at the Kansas Invitational (1:11.71). 2007 Outdoor: Finished seventh at the Big 12 Championships in the 800-meter run ... Ran the 800 meters in five meets and had a season-best time of 1:50.04 at the Arkansas Twilight meet, the best time of the season for any Jayhawk ... Set Regional marks at both the Arkansas Twilight and Big 12 Championships. 2007 Indoor: Moved into the all-time top-five in two events ... Fourth all-time with a fourth-place finish at the Big 12 Championships in a time of 1:09.35 in the 600-yard run ... Moved into fifth place all-time with an 800 meter time of 1:50.58, good for second place at the ISU Classic ... Set the 600-yard meet record at the KSU All-Comers meet with a time of 1:11.32. 2006 Outdoor: Competed in the 800 meters ... Placed second at the Kansas Relays (1:51.93)... Also placed second at the Ward Haylett Invitational (1:49.83) en route to qualifying for the NCAA Regional ... Finished seventh at the Big 12 Championships in a time of 1:53.42 ... Finished 13th at the NCAA Midwest Regional in a time of 1:51.97. 2006 Indoor: Competed in the 600-yard run and 800 meters for the Jayhawks ... Finished second at the Big 12 Championships in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:09.85, the second fastest time in America in 2006 ... Won the 600-yard run at four meets, including the Husker Invitational (1:10.01), the Jayhawk Invitational (1:10.99), the KU/KSU/MU Triangular (1:11.07) and the KSU All-Comers (1:12.28) ... Ran the 400 meter leg of the distance medley relay team that set the school record (9:34.91) and placed tenth at the NCAA Indoor Championships (9:46.53). 2005 Outdoor: A member of the 1,600-meter relay team that finished ninth at the Big 12 Championships (3:10.81) ... Ran the 400 meter leg on the distance medley relay team that won the Texas Relays. 2005 Indoor: Had his first career win at the Jayhawk Invitational in the 600-yard run (1:11.44) ... Had a seventh place finish in the 600-yard run at the Big 12 Championships in a time of 1:10.82 ... Was a member of the Kansas 1,600-meter relay team that finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships ... Finished third in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:10.59 at the Husker Invitational. High School: Had an outstanding career at Blue Valley West ... Broke school records in the 100, 200 and 400 meters as well as the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter-relays and the distance medley relay ... Named first team all-Sun County and first team all-Johnson County his senior year ... Named honorable mention all-metro in 2004 ... Helped head coach Mark Hanson and the Jaguars to a East Kansas League and a 6A regional championship in 2004 ...
