Hit his season's best long jump mark of 6.75 meters (22-01.75 ft.) on two occasions, the first coming at the Baker Relays (3/24) in his third-place finish, and the second at the Arkansas Twilight where he finished 17^th... In his first Kansas Relays (4/21) was able to earn a 19^th-place finish in the long jump after his top jump of 6.72 meters (22-00.75 ft.).

2012 INDOOR
Top finish of his rookie year was at the the Kansas vs. Missouri Dual (1/13) where he leaped to a long jump mark of 6.47 meters (21-02.75 ft.) to claim fifth... Hit a season-best mark of 6.55 meters (21-06.00 ft.) en route to a ninth-place finish at the Bill Easton Classic (1/7)... Competed in the 60 meters at the Bill Easton Classic (1/7) where he ran to a season-best time of 7.56.

HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered in track, football and basketball during his four years at Eudora HS... Placed fifth in the long jump at the Kansas State Meet (2011) with a mark of 20-10.50 ft... Was the runner-up in the long jump at the Kansas Regional meet (2011)... Selected to the All-State honorable mention team for football his senior year... Member of the honor roll all four years.

Son of Jerry and Julie Katzfey... Has two brothers, Jordan (21) and Austin (17)... Uncle, Rick Katzfey, and brother, Jordan, each attended KU... Majoring in economics.
