Connie Abbott won the mile at Friday's Jayhawk Invitational with a time of 5:17.71.

 Sheldon Battle unleashed a throw on his way to victory in the weight throw.

 Matt Baysinger surged down the final stretch to capture the 600 yard run in 1:11.44.
Tiffany Cherry proved to be the fastest woman over 60 meters.

 Kim Clark dominated the 800 meter run with a time of 2:14.87.

 KU's Josh Madathil and Cameron Schwehr battled during the men's 1000 meter run before Schwehr pulled away to win.
Brooklyn Hann flew over the hurdles to win the 60 meter event.

 Amy Linnen soared to victory in the women's pole vault.

 Jeremy Mims opened up his 800-meter-winning lead over the finishing straight.
Angela Pichardo battled all the way to finish line to capture the women's 1000.

 Colby Wissel ran away form all competitors to win the 3000 with a time of 8:26.26.
