Feb. 9, 2012
Kansas student-athletes produce great statistics in their respective fields of play, but they're more than a number. Meet KU track and field student-athlete Diamond Dixon in this video feature. Dixon, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, was recently named the Big 12 Track and Field Athlete of the Week (Jan. 22-28), and is one of the top 400-meter runners in the nation. As a freshman, Dixon captured the 400 title in the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, defeating a heavily favored Jessica Beard.
