Big 12 Indoor Championships Rescheduled for Feb. 23-24

AMES, Iowa – Due to the severe winter weather throughout the Midwest, conference and school officials have elected to push back the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championships to Feb. 23-24, it was announced by the league office Thursday night. The event schedules for each day will remain unchanged with Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with the women’s pentathlon 60-meter hurdles and ending at 9 p.m. with the men’s distance medley relay. Sunday will kick off with the men’s heptathlon 60-meter hurdles at 11 a.m., and will conclude at 5:25 p.m. with the running of the men’s 4x400-meter relay. The Jayhawks will compete in one of the fiercest conference meets in the nation this weekend. Nine of the nation's top 25 teams will be featured between the men's and women's sides, including the fourth-ranked KU women's squad, who will vie for its first league title.
