Andrea Geubelle Places Ninth In The Triple Jump At The 2010 World Junior Championships

MONCTON, Canada - Kansas sophomore Andrea Geubelle took home a ninth place finish in the triple jump at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships held on the campus of the University de Moncton here Thursday. Geubelle was top American finisher in the event. The University Place, Wash., native recorded her top mark of the day on her second attempt, recording a mark of 12.87 meters. Geubelle, who will be a sophomore in the fall, also competed in the long jump at the World Junior Championships Thursday afternoon, but did not advance to the finals.
