Jayhawks Equipped to Compete at Big 12 Cross Country Championships

Women's 6k to run at 10 a.m. Saturday, Men's 8k slated for 11 a.m.

JUNIOR (2011)
Competed in five of the team's seven meets and posted a career-best 8K time coming at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/14), finished in 25:00.50... Finished 45^th at the Big 12 Championships (10/29) with a time of 25:03.3... Took ninth place at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge (9/10) with a time of 27:17.93 to help Kansas win the team title... Finished 34^th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships with a 10K time of 32:16.15... Selected to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

SOPHOMORE (2010)
Competed in all six meets for the Jayhawks, with his top finish coming at the Bob Timmons Classic (Sept. 4), a sixth-place finish... Ran a career-best 8k time of 25:34.60 at the ISU Pre-Nationals meet (Oct. 16), finishing 147^th... Ran at the Big 12 Championships for the second-consecutive season, posting a 49^th-place finish with a time of 25:52.99... Was one of six Jayhawks to run at the NCAA Midwest regional meet, crossing the finish line in a 10K time of 31:40.53 and placing 64^th... Selected to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2009)
Was a member of the Jayhawks' travel squad for much of the season, competing in five of six meets... Posted a season-best 8K time of 25:47.60 at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree (10/30), where he finished sixth on the squad and 82^nd overall in a field of 245 competitors... Ran a 25:59.30 at the ISU Pre-Nationals Invitational (10/17)... Competed at the Big 12 Championships, posting an 8K time of 27:04.58 to take 71^st place.
