15 Kansas Cross Country Runners Earn Academic All-Big 12 Honors

Jayhawks field 12 first-team members, three second-team selections

JUNIOR (2010)

Competed in three meets for the Jayhawks with the highest finish coming at the Bob Timmons Classic (Sept. 4), placing eighth with a 5K time of 20:00... Was one of four Jayhawks to finish in the top 10 at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge (Sept. 11), taking ninth and clocking in with a 5K time of 18:59.82... Competed in the open race at the ISU Pre-Nationals meet (Oct. 16), running a 6K time of 24:10.50 and finishing 111^th.

AT SAMFORD (2008)

2008 All-Southern Conference Freshman Team Selection... Placed 20^th at the Crimson Classic and 18^th at the Furman Invitational... Placed 24^th overall and fifth on the team at the SoCon Championship.

HIGH SCHOOL

A seven-time class 3A state champion in track at Medicine Lodge High School... Placed first in the 1,600 meters her sophomore, junior and senior years... A state runner-up for cross country her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons... Lettered in basketball for four years...
