JUNIOR (2010) Competed in three meets for the Jayhawks with the highest finish coming at the Bob Timmons Classic (Sept. 4), placing eighth with a 5K time of 20:00... Was one of four Jayhawks to finish in the top 10 at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge (Sept. 11), taking ninth and clocking in with a 5K time of 18:59.82... Competed in the open race at the ISU Pre-Nationals meet (Oct. 16), running a 6K time of 24:10.50 and finishing 111th. AT SAMFORD (2008) 2008 All-Southern Conference Freshman Team Selection... Placed 20th at the Crimson Classic and 18th at the Furman Invitational... Placed 24th overall and fifth on the team at the SoCon Championship. HIGH SCHOOL A seven-time class 3A state champion in track at Medicine Lodge High School... Placed first in the 1,600 meters her sophomore, junior and senior years... A state runner-up for cross country her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons... Lettered in basketball for four years... A member of the Principal's Honor Roll for three years, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. PERSONAL Daughter of Robert and Cindy Christensen... Mother, Cindy, played basketball at Kansas... Father, Robert, competed in track and cross country at Wichita State... Majoring in biology... Plans to become a dentist. |
